Carson-Mitchell, Inc. — Engineers & Builders — return to home

Safety

At Carson-Mitchell, Inc., safety is not a program — it is a core value embedded in everything we do. From preconstruction planning through final completion, we hold every team member, subcontractor, and site visitor to the highest safety standards in the industry.

Our safety record reflects decades of disciplined practice, ongoing training, and a culture where every employee is empowered to stop work when conditions are unsafe. We believe that zero incidents is not just a goal — it is an expectation.

Our Safety Practices

Pre-Task Planning

Every crew begins each day with a job hazard analysis identifying potential risks and the controls in place to eliminate or mitigate them before work begins.

Ongoing Training

All field personnel receive regular safety training covering OSHA standards, equipment operation, fall protection, hazard communication, and site-specific requirements.

Crane & Rigging Safety

Lift plans are prepared for every critical lift. Our certified operators and riggers follow strict pre-lift checklists and maintain all equipment to manufacturer specifications.

Personal Protective Equipment

Hard hats, high-visibility vests, safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate footwear are required on all Carson-Mitchell job sites without exception.

Subcontractor Accountability

We hold all subcontractors to the same safety standards we set for our own crews. Safety performance is evaluated as part of every subcontractor selection process.

Incident Reporting & Review

All incidents and near-misses are reported, investigated, and reviewed to identify root causes and prevent recurrence. Transparency drives continuous improvement.
